Features
Everything you need to take and manage bookings
We spent time in kitchens and behind bars before writing a line of code. Everything here exists because a venue asked for it, and nothing here needs a training day.
A booking page customers finish in under a minute
Every venue gets its own page at its own link. Customers pick how many people, tap a day, tap a time and add their name and phone. No account, no app to download, no password. It works on any phone and in any language your customers already use, because there is barely any text to read.
Every venue gets its own web address. Free venues get a short random code like 5434.tablez.uk; on Starter and above you choose your own, like yourpub.tablez.uk. Your dashboard has a QR code and a printable poster for it. Share the address on Google Business Profile, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, your email signature, or put the QR code on menus and in the window. If you have a website, embed it with one line.
How many people
Three ways to say yes
Instant confirms a booking on the spot if a table is free. Staff approved holds it as a request until someone accepts. Live check is the clever one: the customer waits a few minutes with a countdown while your staff get an alert. If nobody replies in time, you choose whether to decline politely or keep it as a request and email later.
Live check can be switched on manually, on a schedule, or automatically whenever a staff member is logged in to the staff app. All three modes are on every plan, including Free.
About 2 minutes 40 seconds
A staff app that lives on a phone
Install it to the home screen on iPhone or Android. Requests appear at the top with a countdown and two big buttons, accept or decline with a reason. A short beep plays when something new arrives, and Starter and Pro venues get push notifications even when the app is closed.
Staff can also add walk-ins and phone bookings by hand, mark arrivals and no-shows, and see tonight's list at a glance. Free includes the owner plus one staff login; Starter and Pro have unlimited logins.
Tables, turn times and pacing
Add your tables as groups, for example five 2 seaters and ten 4 seaters, plus any named tables like the snug or the window. Set turn times by party size and optionally let large parties combine two tables. Cap covers per service and limit bookings per 15 minutes so the kitchen keeps its rhythm on a Saturday night.
Opening hours are set per day with separate lunch and dinner services, and you can close a date or a service for a private party in two taps.
A calendar customers understand
Days are colour coded: green for plenty, amber for limited, red for full and grey for closed. Customers pick a party size and see the times that work, and never see how many tables you actually have. That keeps your capacity private and stops people trying to game the system.
Works on any website, or none
Your booking page has its own link you can share anywhere. If you have a website, embed it with an iframe, a one line script, or a "Book a table" button that opens it in an overlay. It works on WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Shopify, Webflow, GoDaddy, or plain HTML someone built years ago.
<script src="https://tablez.uk/embed.js" data-venue="your-venue"></script>Emails that do the work for you
Customers get a confirmation with a calendar file, a manage link to cancel if plans change, and a reminder the day before. You get an email for every booking and request. Starter and Pro venues can send from their own email address so it looks like it came from you.
Spam and no-show protection
Rate limits per connection, a hidden honeypot, optional Cloudflare Turnstile, and a daily cap on bookings per phone number and email. Staff can mark arrivals and no-shows so you know who to trust, and the reminder email the day before does most of the work of cutting no-shows on its own.
Works anywhere in the world
Tablez is built in the UK and used by venues anywhere. Set your venue's time zone and the booking page, emails and staff app all show local times. Any country, any address format. Prices are in pounds sterling and cards from any country are fine. When deposits launch, they will show in your own currency.

FAQ
Questions about features
Which features are on the free plan?
All of the core ones: booking page and link, website embed, instant, staff approved and live check modes, email confirmations and reminders, the availability calendar, turn times and pacing, spam protection, and the owner plus one staff login. Paid plans add push alerts, no branding, unlimited logins and emails from your own address.
Is there an app for staff?
Yes, it is a web app you install to the home screen from the browser on iPhone or Android. Nothing to find in an app store. It shows requests with a countdown and big accept and decline buttons, and plays a beep when something new arrives.
Can customers see how many tables I have?
No. They see whether a day is plenty, limited or full and which times are available for their party size. Your table counts and layout stay private.
Can I take deposits?
Not yet. Deposits and card holds are coming soon and will show in your own currency. Until then, the reminder email and manage link do most of the work of reducing no-shows, and staff approved mode lets you phone large parties before confirming. Read our deposits vs card holds article for the trade-offs.
Does it do Reserve with Google?
Not yet, it is on our roadmap. You can already put your Tablez link as the reservation link on your Google Business Profile, which gets you most of the way there. We explain the difference in our Reserve with Google guide.
