Privacy policy

Last updated September 2026. This policy covers both this website (tablez.co.uk) and the Tablez app (tablez.uk).

Who we are

Tablez is run by Kalchevo (kalchevo.com), a UK web company. We provide the booking software; each venue is responsible for its own bookings and customers. In data protection terms the venue is the controller of its customers' booking data and we are the processor. For venue accounts and for visitors to this website, we are the controller. You can reach us at [email protected].

This website

tablez.co.uk is a static marketing site. It sets no cookies of its own and uses no advertising trackers. Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, page requested, browser, time) for security and to see which pages are read, kept for a short period. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests them from Google's servers. The demo page embeds a booking page from tablez.uk, which is covered by the sections below.

What we collect in the app

Venue accounts: your name, email, phone, venue details, settings and logins for your staff. Payment details for paid plans are handled by our payment provider; we do not store card numbers.

Customers booking a table: name, email, phone number, party size, date and time, special requests and any allergy note the customer chooses to give. We also store the IP address of the booking to prevent abuse.

Technical: server logs and a session cookie that keeps you logged in or protects forms. We do not use advertising trackers.

How we use it

To run the booking, send confirmation, reminder and update emails, alert venue staff, and stop spam. We send an email log (recipient, subject, status) to the venue and platform admin so failed emails can be spotted. We use venue account details to provide the service, bill for it, and tell you about changes to it.

Sharing

Booking details are shared with the venue you booked at. Emails are sent through our mail provider or, if the venue chooses, through their own. Push notifications go through your browser's push service. Payments go through our payment provider. We do not sell data to anyone and we do not share it with marketplaces or advertisers.

International

Tablez is hosted in the UK and used by venues around the world. If you are outside the UK, your data is transferred to the UK to provide the service. The UK has data protection law broadly equivalent to the EU's.

Keeping and deleting data

Bookings are kept so venues can see history and no-show records. Customers can ask the venue to delete their details, and venues can ask us to delete their account and data at any time via the contact page. Demo bookings are cleared regularly.

Cookies

This website sets none. The app uses one session cookie to keep you logged in or to protect forms. Cloudflare Turnstile, if a venue enables it, may set its own cookie to tell humans from bots.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it or delete it, and object to how we use it. Contact us via the contact page or at [email protected]. If you are unhappy with how we handle data you can complain to the ICO in the UK or your local data protection authority.

Changes

We will post any changes here and update the date at the top.
