Terms of service

Last updated September 2026. Plain English, on purpose.

The service

Tablez gives venues a booking page, a dashboard and a staff app. We provide the software; you run your venue. We are not a party to the booking between you and your customer. The service is provided by Kalchevo, of which Tablez is a trading name.

Your account

Keep your password safe and only give staff logins to people who work for you. You are responsible for what is done under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access.

Plans and payment

The free plan is free, has no term, and is limited as described on the pricing page. Paid plans (Starter and Pro) run for a minimum of 12 months and are paid yearly in advance, in pounds sterling, by card from any country. Group arrangements are invoiced yearly. Prices are shown excluding VAT; no VAT is charged at the moment, and if that changes we will tell you before your next renewal. Each plan has a monthly booking limit; when it is reached your booking page asks customers to phone instead until the month resets or you upgrade. Paid plans renew automatically for a further 12 months at the end of each term unless you cancel before the renewal date, which you can do from your dashboard. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email, and a price change never applies before your next renewal. We do not refund part years or unused months, except where the law requires. If you cancel, your paid features continue until the end of the term you have paid for, and your account then drops back to the free plan.

No per cover fees

We do not charge per cover, per diner or per booking on any plan, and we commit not to introduce such fees for existing plans.

Fair use

Do not use the service to send spam, to book tables you do not intend to honour, or to do anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or put other venues at risk. Group and high volume arrangements are agreed in writing.

Availability

We aim for the service to be available all the time but cannot promise it. We will tell you about planned maintenance where we can. If the service is down and you lose a booking, we are sorry, but our liability is limited to the fees you have paid us in the last three months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Your data

Your bookings and settings are yours. You can export or delete them by asking us. See the privacy policy for how we handle personal data. You are responsible for handling your customers' data lawfully in your own country.

Customers

If you book a table through a Tablez page, your booking is with the venue. Please cancel through the link in your email if your plans change. Venues may have their own terms shown on the booking page.

Changes and law

We may update these terms and will post the new version here. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, wherever you are, and any dispute will be dealt with in its courts unless your local consumer law says otherwise.
