How to set up Tablez in 5 minutes
You can have a working booking page for your pub or restaurant today. Tablez walks you through it one page at a time, and you can change any of it later.
Tablez says setup takes about ten minutes. If you know your opening times and how many tables you have, it is quicker than that. It is easier on a PC or laptop than a phone, especially the tables step. Log in on a computer any time and you carry on where you left off.
The steps in order
- Create your account. Go to the Tablez sign up page and fill in your venue name, the type of venue, your name, the venue phone number, your email and a password. Tick the box to agree to the terms and privacy policy, then press Create my account.
- Choose a plan. The welcome page shows the plans. You can press Start on Free, decide later, with no card needed. Paid plans switch on more features the moment you subscribe.
- Add your address and phone. Before the main steps, Tablez asks for your address, postcode and phone number. They go on your booking page and in confirmation emails. Press Save and carry on.
- Opening hours. Add your lunch and evening service times and tick Closed for any day you shut. Our hours and tables guide covers this step and the next two.
- Tables. Say how many tables of each size you have. This is what stops you being overbooked.
- Turn times. Say how long a table is kept for each party size.
- Booking rules. Choose whether bookings are confirmed instantly or checked by your team first. See the booking rules guide.
- Notifications and Email sending. Add the email addresses that should hear about new bookings, then choose whether customer emails come from Tablez or from your own address.
- Booking page look. Add your logo, pick a colour and write a welcome line. See the booking page guide.
- Share and embed. Copy your booking link, download your QR code and get the code for your website. Press Finish setup.
Each page has Save and continue, Back and Skip this step. Every setting has a small ? circle. Tap it and it explains the setting in plain English. Stuck? Use the Ask Tablez button in the corner, or open a support ticket from the Help page.
When you finish, make a test booking on your own booking link to see what customers see.

Do I need a card to start?
No. You can start on the Free plan and upgrade later. Free covers your booking page, link, QR poster and embedding, with a monthly limit on bookings.
Can I change things after setup?
Yes. Everything from setup lives in the left menu under Your venue and Booking page, so you can change it any time.
Can I do it on my phone?
It works, but the tables step is much easier on a PC or laptop. Log in on a computer and you carry on from the step you reached.
What if I get stuck?
Use the Ask Tablez button in the corner of the dashboard, or open a support ticket from the Help page and a person will reply.
