What happens if a guest does not turn up?
You mark the booking as a No show. Tablez records it against that guest and counts it in your reports. If you took a card hold, it is charged when you mark it.

What happens when a guest does not turn up, and how to mark a no show in Tablez. 48 sec
How to mark a no show
- Go to Bookings or Today and click Open on the booking.
- Under What next, press No show.
- If there was a card hold, the message at the top says the card was charged.
Pressed it by mistake? Use Back to confirmed on the same booking. You can also mark no shows from the floor plan and the staff app.
What it does
- The guest's no show is recorded on their profile, so you can spot repeat offenders. Guest profiles are on Standard.
- Your Reports page shows your no show rate, with a comparison to the period before.
- With a card hold, the amount is charged to their card when you mark the booking. With a deposit, you simply keep it.
Cutting no shows
Reminder emails go out the day before on every plan, and the cancel link makes it easy to let you know. Texts help more, and deposits help most on busy nights. Our guide to reducing no-shows goes through it.
Watch it done

Can I charge a guest who never paid anything up front?
Only if they gave a card. That means a card hold or deposit, which need the Pro plan and your own Stripe account.
Do no shows count towards my monthly limit?
Yes, if they booked online, as they are not cancelled bookings. Only cancelled bookings drop out of the count.
Does the guest get an email when I mark a no show?
No. Marking a no show does not send the guest anything.
