How to seat a walk in
A couple walk in and ask for a table. You want to say yes or no quickly, and keep the system right so the next booking is not double booked. Here is how.

With the floor plan (Standard plan and above)
- Open Floor plan under Day to day. Make sure the date is today and the time shows now. Press Now if it does not.
- Look for a green free table. The side panel tells you how long it is free for, and who has it booked next. A table marked Booked soon may be free for only a short time.
- Tap the table. A form opens on the right.
- Type People. Name and Phone are optional for a walk in. Add a tag if it helps, such as High chair or Dog.
- Under For, leave Usual turn time or pick a shorter time if the table is needed later.
- Press Seat walk in now. The table turns to Seated.
If the party is bigger or smaller than the table suits, Tablez says so. You can tick Book even if it is bigger or smaller than usual if you are happy with that.
Without the floor plan
- Press Add booking on Today.
- Set today's date, the time now, the party size and a name. Under Taken by, choose Walk in.
- Press Add booking. Then open it and press Mark arrived.
If nothing is free
On the floor plan, open Nothing free? Add them to the waitlist. Type their name, how many people and a mobile number, then press Add to waitlist. If your venue has text messages, they get a text when a table frees up. You can also ring them yourself. The waitlist is on Standard and above.
When they leave
Tap the table and press Finished, free the table. It is marked Needs cleaning. Press Mark as clean once it is wiped down.

Questions fréquentes
Do walk ins use up our monthly booking limit?
On the Free plan, yes: walk ins count towards the limit. On Standard and Pro, no: only bookings that come in through your online booking page count, and staff bookings and walk ins are free.
Do I need their name?
No. Walk in is the name used if you leave it blank. A name and number help if you want to find them later.
The Seat walk in now button is missing. Why?
It only shows when you are looking at the current time today. Press Now at the top of the floor plan.
What if the system says no table fits?
Check for a table that is Free but too small, or ask a manager about joining tables.
