Can I close a day or block out dates?
Yes. Tick Closed on any regular day, or add a Special closure for a one-off date such as Christmas Day or a private party. Customers see that day as closed.

Closing for Christmas Day, or got a private party? Here is how to block out a day in Tablez. Under Your venue, open Opening hours. For a day you never open, tick Closed. For a one off date, press Add a closure under Special closures, pick the date, and add a note. Bank holidays are not automatic, so add each one. Then press Save changes. Closing stops new online bookings. It does not cancel bookings already made, so check Bookings for that date and contact the guests. You can still add a booking by hand. How to close a day
- Under Your venue, click Opening hours.
- For a day you never open, tick Closed on that day.
- Under Special closures, press Add a closure, pick the date and add a note if you like.
- Press Save changes.
Bank holidays are not automatic, so add each one you close. Add one row for every date.
What it does not do
Closing a day stops new bookings. It does not cancel bookings already made. Check Bookings for that date and cancel or move them yourself, then contact the guests.
Blocking out part of a day or a table
There is no button to block one table. You can change the service periods, for example finish dinner earlier on a given weekday. You can also set Max covers per service on the Tables page, or only add the tables you want to be bookable. For a private party, a special closure is the simplest option.
