Can guests cancel their booking online?
Yes. Every confirmation and reminder email has a link, and guests can cancel with one tap up to a cut-off time that you choose.

How to set the cut-off
- In the left menu, under Your venue, click Booking rules.
- Find Customers can cancel online up to in the timing rules.
- Choose how long before the booking the link should stop working.
- Press Save changes.
The choices run from 30 minutes up to 7 days. The default is 2 hours. A longer cut-off protects you from last-minute cancellations. A shorter one is friendlier.
What happens when a guest cancels
The guest gets a cancellation email and you get one too. The table is freed straight away. If you have the waitlist on, people waiting for that day are told.

If you take card holds on the Pro plan, you choose how many hours before the booking a cancellation releases the hold. Later than that, it is left for you to charge or release. See taking deposits.

Can a guest cancel by phone instead?
Yes. After the cut-off the page asks them to ring you, and you can cancel the booking yourself from the booking page in your dashboard.
Can I stop online cancellation altogether?
Not with a switch. The longest cut-off is 7 days before the booking, so choose that if you want guests to ring you.
Does a cancelled booking count towards my monthly limit?
No. Cancelled bookings are not counted.
