How to use the floor plan on shift
The floor plan is a picture of your room, kept up to date by everyone on shift. It shows which tables are free, who is on what, and who has not arrived yet.
Watch: Use the Floor Plan on Shift
See which tables are free, seat guests, free tables when they leave and mark them clean. 75 sec
What the colours mean
- Free: nobody on it and nothing booked soon.
- Booked soon: a booking is due within the hour.
- Reserved: a booking is due, but they have not arrived.
- Seated: the guests are in.
- Needs cleaning: the last guests have gone and the table needs wiping.
The bar at the top shows the date, a time and the number of covers booked. Press Now to jump back to the current time. You can look at a later time to see how the evening is shaping up.
Tap a booked table
You see the name, party size, times, phone number, requests and any allergy in red. You also see tags such as Regular or Birthday, and how many times they have booked before. If a "still coming?" text went out with no answer, it says so. The buttons are:
- Seat them when the guests arrive.
- No show if they never come. Check the card hold warning in the arrived and no show guide first.
- Running late to tag the booking.
- Finished, free the table when they leave. The table goes to Needs cleaning.
- Move to to pick another free table, and Join with to push tables together. Split tables undoes a join.
- Open booking for the full details.
Tap a free table
You can press Needs cleaning or Mark as clean, seat a walk in, or take a booking for later with Book this table. Bookings that have no table yet appear under Not on a table yet. Use the Put on table list to place one.
Good habits
Free a table as soon as people leave and mark it for cleaning. It keeps the picture honest for whoever is on the door. If the floor plan looks wrong, tell a manager. Do not try to fix the layout yourself.

Can I move the tables around?
Only the owner, or a manager with settings access, can change the layout. You can move a booking to another table with Move to.
It does not match what I see in the room. Why?
Someone may not have freed a table or seated a booking. Fix it by tapping the table. If it still looks wrong, tell a manager.
Do I need to refresh it?
No. It updates by itself about every 20 seconds, so a tablet at the bar stays current.
There is no floor plan in my menu. Why?
Your venue is on a plan without it, or the owner has not drawn the room yet. Ask the owner.
